I have a pretty good story.

Well so last year I was a participant in the Dick Gelfman Ride Across Maryland. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a ride in the summer from Columbia to Ocean City to raise money for breast cancer. There were HUNDREDS of bikes that participated in the ride and we raised hundreds of thousands of dollars last year.

Anyhow, I don't really consider Columbia to Ocean City to be "Across MD." I'd say it's across about half, because I live 5 minutes from the WV border, as west in MD as you can get, without being in another state. My brother lives in Baltimore, so a friend and I decided to ride to Columbia and meet my brother and show our support.

My normal route from Garrett County is 219 to 68 to 70, but my friend and I decided to take a different route through Romney, WV, where a bike I was supposed to trade for was supposed to be (Traded my VN900C for a ZZR600), then up through VA into MD to Baltimore.

Long story short, we got to VA, but then somehow ended up in WV again. Trip to Baltimore took about 5 hours.

Got to the ride and had a great time. Between the three of us we raised about $1,100. Ocean City was wet and rainy, but only for short periods at a time. Somehow I lost a bolt in my floorboard on Coastal Hwy, but we backtracked and found it. Ride back to Baltimore was wet, but I don't mind the rain. Got in about ten pm, and decided to just haul back to GC that night. Clear skies the whole way, kept it about 110-115, and made it in less than 2.5 hours. Glad we didn't get pulled over or killed

So good times, lots of riding (good thing), lots of rain. Got home and traded the Vulcan for the ZZR. Next year I'm taking that. Look up the ride if you haven't heard about it. Hope to see you there!

Wow! That is a lot of riding! Thanks for your support too. Of course I am super glad you made it back safely! My poor Tyke would never let me go that fast for that long!
