Saying hello.  We just bought a brand new (2007) VFR, and am curious about the Maryland riding scene.  Although my husband commuted on bikes a long time ago, this is OUR first bike, and am interested in meeting other riders in the area.

Congradulations on the VIFFER!!!  I finally got to upgrade to my viffer (03)  thanks to the fact that I have the greatest girlfriend in the world, and I wrecked my Nighthawk.  Where abouts are yuns, love to go do some ridin with another viffer.

We are in Edgewater.  We actually went out last night for a bit.  Beautiful night!

My husband let his motorcycle license lapse from MANY years ago, so he's still got his permit and will take the test on Saturday.  He'll have no problem passing it.  But we just got the bike, and says we need to stay under 6K RPM for the first 600 miles!  Acckk!

Actually, after doing some checking, the 600 mile nothing over 6K RPMbreak-in thingy is really not the best way.  So it looks like it's thesame for pretty much all smaller engines...varying RPMs, varying speedsand breaking...not taking it at a constant speed for a while.  I guessgotta get the piston rings seated properly is the key.  So since we are just toodling around the backroads and neighborhoods, we can do allthese things and break it in while we ride it.  We actually were doing perfect with it the other night with the new idea of breaking it in.

Hubs is taking the road test as we speak.  crossing fingers and looking to hear from him soon!

I'll definitely be hitting you up on some rides out your way.  Don't know much about what's happenin' down this way yet...
